Do you want to see if we can dragoon Emily?
Most excellent. Mind if I attempt to dragoon the Canadian?
Also! I am getting my haircut at Zip Zap tonight. V. exciting.
'Heart Of Gold'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The warm ginger cake with pumpkin ice cream and caramel sauce at Chow is better though.
OMG.
See, this is why I always like evil to show me around town.
Yes. This.
I've always liked butter on bread. I didn't know that it was UN-AMERICAN to do so!
I meant like before adding sandwich stuff! Like bread, butter, and ham. I like butter on bread just fine.

Perfectly normal! I mean, if you're going to have icky ham in a sandwich, anyway.

I completely agree with ita's first sentence, and look slightly askance at her second.
(trying not to hate the people who have extra money to save and not have to scrounge to keep the lights on)
Our savings consist of about $5.00 in our ING account and ... that's it.
We had to put the utilities off this month. It's embarrassing, but they'll be paid.
I had never had butter on a sandwich until I moved to Montana, a small town of mostly Norwegian stock. EVERYONE put butter on first. I got to where I really liked the taste of butter and bologna sandwiches. They'd bring them to church socials so there were a lot of them.
Deena!
OK. Some people think that the US is about to attack Iran.
I can't add to the specifics people have given on telling what ships are deployed when. But I will tell you that deployment of the Eisenhower is NOT out of line with normal U.S. practice. I would also bet and bet high against a U.S. attack on Iraq before the November 7th. U.S. foreign policy is very driven by domestic agendas these days. (I'm putting that more politely that it deserves I suspect.) Right now a U.S. attack on Iran would NOT be domestically popular. That does not mean that there won't be an attack, but it means that there will not be one before November 7th. After that - well I've given up trying to predict what these crazy bastards will do.
