We have our first HS Homecoming week activities and such. Social butterfly that is my son is really into the whole thing. Except he won't go to the dance tonight because he won't ask anyone. Color me not surprised when he changes his mind at the last moment.

He dressed out for Spirit Day this morning. 3 pairs of sock in the school green, white, and orange. (yay for years of soccer that I had them on hand) And we did his hair. Yes, this is really his crazy thick hair. Please please please remember that the picture of me is at 6:30 this morning after I finished his hair and let us not mention it again.

Today is Homecoming for K-Bug's school too. A whole group of girl had special shirts made to wear to school today and to the game tonight. It is the one football game she HAS to attend each year, though I doubt she watches a moment of the actual game. Miss. Social Butterfly.

I will go on the record as an American saying that I have eaten and enjoyed both these things. Also a bit puzzled that bread n' butter is blechy. But my tastes are not for all, I guess!

I like to use butter (or buttery spread) as a mayo fat substitution for sandwiches. especially european butter, all yummy and high-fat content-y. I probably picked that up from Tom though. Previous to that I was more a mayo sandwich kind of girl. Now we barely use any mayo at all.
