I never can tell how I look best. I loved the haircut I got a year ago, but I want to grow it out again. But then I look at pictures of me with long hair and I think it makes me face look longer and not in a good way. Blah, I don't know.

Mine's probably a Generic Mom because I just told them "Short." But it's fairly curly and I'm not the sort to bother with gels and all that every day. I try to fluff it out every day so that it least looks a little spiky and not just a boring, tidy little cap of curls.

For what it's worth, every woman who's commented has given an enthusiastic "It's so cute!" I'm not sure if that's authentic approval or a tribal "We acknowledge the change and aren't so gauche as to say it sucks." Hubby had to ask if he was allowed to comment on changes to women he didn't know well, and I said that if he notices the change he should say something, and if he doesn't like it he should just say, "Oh, you cut your hair!" and leave it at that.

I sent one box, but I have two or thee more to send to Erin. UI figure NEw BOOKs! are always excitingand might help keep the interest up. esp. since I have a bunch of manga to send. I was going to send the whole run at once - but I might send the first few in one box, the next in another , etc. even if it only drives one kid a little nuts to find out what happens next, that would be a win.

I had long to medium length hair all my life, sometimes with bangs or layers or what have you, but always at least shoulder length and usually longer. I never thought I'd look good with short hair, but I decided to experiment just before it was all going to fall out anyway. It actually looked way better than I thought it would, and everyone who saw it loved it and said to keep it short once it grew back, and a couple of people said it made me look younger. Score.

I am going to keep it short, though I want a cut that's a little sassier than the basic thing I had, plus I want to experiment with color. It's really quite the paradigm shift for me, this short hair thing.

I thinking of finishing my HAVE TO DO things at work and going home to nap before the kids get home from school. I'm just feeling like utter shite and can't afford to get sick.

sounds like a good plan Suzi. You need to take care of yourself - even if that just means takeing a nap.

Erin, I'm glad you're here today. I found out that Goddess by Mistake has been reprinted as Divine by Mistake and is available for the usual price in all the usual places, so you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for it if you haven't gotten to read it yet.
