Mmmm fireplace. I have no fireplace. If I did I would use it all the time even when it is 90 out. My power bill would be even more painful than it is now.

Thanks for all the hugs. It's an odd thing because I don't exactly know how I feel, or how I should feel. We said our goodbyes some time ago. I exchanged email with him on his birthday a couple weeks ago. We didn't really have anything else to say. I sent him a smart assed "only the good die young" type birthday note. He replied that God would get me for that sentiment. I responded that it was a heck of a time to start believing in God. He was an atheist. I smiled. I know he smiled. I'm sad for his loss, but he was ready. Amused that the obit I saw had his age wrong.
