Leeches! Ewww.

Jealous of Trudy and Victor and Lea. Good to read you had an opportunity to play together and say bye to CBGB.

Time needs to be scheduled to take pictures of Gothy Harry Potter.

Hi all. Missed you muchly. The boys are good. Short week of school this week, end of first 9 weeks. Nervous about report cards. I hate being punishment mom all the time.

In between school runs. Brendon already in class. I told him as soon as the time changes he is on the bus. This 7:30 start time for school is nuts. Now it's time to get Bobby going.

Where did the weekend go? All work and no play is making Laura a dull girl. I did make reservations for 4 nights camping in Key West for Thanksgiving. Campground with a marina for the boat. I don't feel like dealing with extended family so I'm camping for Thanksgiving this year. Sugarloaf Key if anyone wants to join me.

Hi morning crew! Well, morning my time, not so much for Raq and Fay.

Are you getting all settled in with the new place and schedule, vw?

Maine sounds nice. Were there lots of pretty leaves? I've only been once. I tried to hook up with CV, but her grandfather was ill at that time and we couldn't work out the timing. I skimmed that Lee was on vacation. Is she headed Maineward?

I'm all out of the loop, and loopy too.

Yup. Still got a few straggler bags and boxes to go through, but did a bunch with those yesterday. Bless my friend, A, for coming over to help. And the schedule is crazy, but good. Thanks for asking.

Were there lots of pretty leaves?

Yes! Yes! I want to know this too. I met mom and dad for brunch yesterday, and just the leaves I saw on my way there were amazing. I'm thinking of taking Toto up the Arnold Arboretum [link] today for a nice, long Fall walk through there. I bet it's gorgeous right now.

Mmmmm Fall. They promise a bit of a temperature drop. I'm thinking I might be able to open windows at night and turn off the A/C soon.

No pretty leaves here, but mom sent me Otter Lake pics. [link]

Off to shower then do the next school run...

Yeah, it is pretty. When we bought our place up there we called it a hurricane shelter thinking we could enjoy Fall there if the weather turned on us. But yay for no storms this year. No excuse to escape north either though.

Gotta run. Have fun today.

::waves at Laura on the run:: Hi, Laura! Bye, Laura! If I could afford the airfare, you can bet I'd be schlepping up the sun with you in the Keys. Unfortunately, my budget is on a very restricted diet right now.

I just realized I forgot to check the mouse traps in my kitchen this morning. I bought a sonic thingy which is supposed to drive them out, but I'm using traditional means as a backup. We'll see if either does any good. If not, I'm calling the condo association and let them deal with the varmints.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Today is Matt's last day of vacation, but I go to work tonight. it looks like a second dreary day. Our goal today - clean out the furnace so we can put it on without killing me. I really hope the sun comes out , unlike yesterday. I am even turning on lights this morning

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hi, Laura! Sorry I missed you. I hope that the boys' report cards are good so you don't have to punish them.

Trudy! I am glad you were able to go the closing and have fun.

My cold seems to be on its way out. I am headed to Mom's as soon as I can get moving to do some of the laundry and shopping that I couldn't do when my car died last week.
