'The Message'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

That's terrible, bt. Will she have to do that before the wedding?

Pretty much. The timing requirements are that she has to have left the country before we can apply for the spousal visa (so we'll be mailing the forms to the embassy in Beijing the day she boards her plane), and we have to be married before they make their decision. We're thinking that if she returns to China in January, and we get married late March, then hopefully it'll be less than a month from the end of our honeymoon before she can come back.

On the bright side, the appointment with the lawyer was free.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

BT, that sucks. Sorry for the extra drama.

I forgot to mention last night that the buffista~ma rocks. The possible buyers didn't even show up yesterday.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hi all! Galway was fun. I saw a lot of really cool landscape.

However, today at work I seem to have acquired a promotion. Or something. I'm not really sure. Being a temp is weird. But when I took this job I thought I was the medical secretary for the doctors of the GI Unit. Today I was told that I'm going to be the secretary for the nurses in the GI Unit, which is a brand-new position I am starting in, well, today. Literally from scratch to help the nurses and figure everything out. I get, like, my own little office space and everything.

It's weird.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Weekends rock!

Went to see my cousin's twins play PW football. Dad flew in from Florida for the game. They lost, and one of the twins got yanked from the game in front of Dad. So sad. His little shoulder pads were shaking because he was crying. Also, they lost 35-0. Still, fun hanging out with family.

I got to take Dad to the bar. He behaved very well and did not freak out at all. My friends got to see that I actually do have parents and was not, in fact, raised by wolves.

Last night I went to a birthday party for a friend who turned 50. Moulin Rouge themed. I went to my hairdresser's and got all gussied up. I got to wear my corset and false eyelashes. At the party there was a drag show and a cabaret act called The Velvet Kittens. So. Much. Fun.

My mom's incision from her hip-replacement surgery was also glued. It's wicked cool.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Gronk.

Am back from nashvegas. Quite enjoyed Nashville, and need to go back at least 2 more times - once to hit all the live music I can, and once to fully appreciate the history of the place.

Hec's pictures killed me ded. We saw them on Jessica's Treo in the airport.

{{{bt & wallybee}}} I'm sorry for the extra drama.
