I'm about to Suzi. Sorry I didn't answer you this morning, by the way-- I had already left.
'Dirty Girls'
Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
And the Cards-Padres series is going into Game 4.
Have to say that I'm glad to hear that the Yankees are out of contention for the Series this year.
Anne - I was cheering for the Cards today - yelling at my screen as they lost. They still have the advantage...
Awwww...baby. Great pics of Matilda.
Timelies, all. I just moved up from dial-up to wireless at home. At the moment it's a neighbor's wireless, but at least I can access that now (thanks to a whole lot of help from a friend of mine). It's lovely--I'm sitting here surfing, watching the tv, able to dash between b.org and my lj flist. Sweet.
Work's going well, so far, I think. I felt a bit like I wasn't doing enough last week. Today I remembered that my previous job was actually 2.5 people's jobs, all tossed on my plate, so I might need to recalibrate.
That is whack. Though I do know a family who named one child "Hudson" after Tim Hudson and another child "Maddux" after Roger Maddux.I have two cats named after former NBA players but they fit the critters in question and they are CATS. Also the kitty rescue about six months ago was Espy, but I suspect that was short for something and not (like I pretended) being named after ESPN's Espy awards.
I have always wanted a house near a librul or performing arts college campus, have open door three or four evenings a week, with a pot of chili or soup on the stove, tea, coffee, cider, cocoa available, and lots of places to sit and move around. Maybe a fireplace or two. That sounds wonderful, Bev. I would love to have a place like that to go to. Not in my house, you understand. Because I am snarly and not well-mannered.
Woke up without a headache today. It didn't last, but it was wonderful to see a break in the pain and remember what it felt like to Not Hurt.
It's my daddy's birthday. I called and chattered with him. It's also (hissssssss) sister-in-law's birthday. I know they are at dinner. Should I call and leave a message or just email? I think call. Because e can lead to a reply and we don't want that.
My game-addicted housemate ponied up for a DSL line into the house. We ran it through a hub, and now I have DSL too. Good-bye, dial-up! Hubby and I have discovered Yahoo Maps, and we've been showing each other the places where we've lived. I'm disconcerted by what I've found in my very rural home, because there are roads being built where there were never roads before, and nobody I'm talking to lives there anymore that I can ask "Why are they building on that hill!"
I'm watching Center Stage for the zillionth time. It's really making me want to take a dance class. I have no idea where there's a good place around here, or if I have time, though.
OMG, Hil, I just saw that for the first time about two weeks ago. I loved it! It's so cheesy, and really not a very good movie, but I *adored* it.
The scene in the off-company dance studio is HOTT.
Crap. The owners are showing our place tomorrow. No-sale~ma please.
