That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm grumpy. Friends called us last night to ask if we wanted to go listen to music on Friday. "Great!" we thought, our first adult-outing with this couple in almost two years, since they had kids and they refuse to get a babysitter because it's too expensive. Clarification came today when she suggested we meet at noon. They expect us to take the afternoon off from work and take the kids with us. Don't get me wrong -- I like other people's children, and so does my DH -- I'm just not sure I'm willing to spend vacation time to run around after them, or that I want my DH to give up his hourly wage earning to do so.

In better news, Lee and I have a plan and it involves shopping.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

That's my kind of plan, though I wouldn't be adverse to a spot of smiting beforehand.

yeah. It's like my friend who is a SAHM, who my single friend and I wanted to do a spa day with. She suggested Tuesday afternoons, because that's the day she has a baby sitter. I was like, "are you kidding, you want us to take a half day to accommodate your child care issues?" when we are both available multiple weekend days?

My bosses are yelling at each other. It's kind of funny.

I finally just got home. I should probably eat something before I go crawl into bed, shouldn't I?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Damn it, damn it, damn it.

I fell asleep sometime around 2 or 3. Just woke up at 5 minutes to 7. I had an appointment in Chevy Chase, 40ish minutes away, at 7. Just had to call and cancel, and left a message that probably sounded completely idiotic.

A little something, yes, so you'll sleep more soundly.

Damn it, damn it, damn it.

Forgive yourself. You've been so sick, it wasn't intentional, and it's not habitual.
