Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

glad mom is home and doing better.

It got close, but Matt did not lose his vacation . But close enough to drive me to junk food. . I am very tired and way behind on my tv watching. and I should vaccum up the dust I made earlier. and it is rainning. this is too early for the rains to start.

pout, whine , bitch , moan.

Fell better , Hil.

move out and draw fire

Matilda proves to be a champion rally monkey as the A's win two at the Metrodome. I think it is not insignicant that she was born on the day they clinched.

I think you should write to ESPN and explain the Power that is Matilda, since they've been flailing all over themselves trying to explain how the A's are winning when they predicted the Twins would go 4 straight. After all, a West Coast small-market team can't be any good.

Kinda sorry I missed the fluffling, but I had a nice full night's sleep with no interruptions, so all is well.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Suzi, I'm very glad your mom's making progress.

The status is NOT quo.

Suzi, glad to hear your mom is doing better.

In meme news, I have been productive this evening! I washed my sheets and re-made the bed, put away a ton of clothes, did a load of regular laundry, and cleaned the bedroom. Fear me. Now I'm flopped on the bed chilling out for a few minutes before trying to get to sleep for a few hours.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Kittenish is becoming a junkie.

She woke me up for, I thought, food. But was uninterested and did her standoffish "I am hiding cause you want to shoot me" thing.

Five minutes later she is doing it again.

She *wants* to be shot. I'd messed up her schedule and was going to let it go until morning but I guess she was jonesing for some thyroid suppressor.

So I prepped the syringe, got her from her "I am PRETENDING THAT I AM hiding because you want to shoot me" place, and shot her.

After which? She started eating the food I originally thought she wanted.

Mostly lurking...

Yay for Suzi getting home with mom doing well.

Speaking of moms. My mom is now doing a lot of walking without crutches OR a cane. GO MOM! It's only three weeks post surgery. She's just amazing.

Blarg. Gronk. And all that. So tired. Weird dreams. Want more sleep.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yay for moms of vw and Suzi!

In mememe news, I am STILL working on this gorram grad school statement of purpose. I am very over this thing, not to mention a little concerned for the future if this is how slow I write stuff that's not a zillion-and-one work emails. What happened to the me who used to toss off dozens of pages in the unshakeable conviction that I was an utter genius and all the teachers would love me?

Have you tried beer? As a terse graduate student rather than an effulgent one, it sometimes helped me.

I tried beer last night, which may have led me off-track a bit, as I ended up playing with librarything.com instead and telling myself that it's okay because it's kind of grad-school-ish. I'm hesitant to try it at work at 10:30 am, however.
