Thank you for all of the birthday wishes today!
Teppy, big ass buckets full of health and good artery ~ma to your dad. The nervousness is very understandable.
Health ~ma to wee Matilda! Little one has had enough drama for her first few days out of the womb.
What was said would be done, gets done ~ma for Tom, Nora.
I'm not quite finished up with work but I need a break. Not too long of a break though since I want out of here asap. I should have (pleasepleaseplease) boxes waiting for me at home.
Oh! Owen and Olivia are so damn cute!
t BIRTHDAY makes out with Nicole
YAY baby matilda!! And yay all the talk of baby matilda! And yay the fact that I'm coming to SF right after Thanksgiving, so will get to see her when she still very little! Wheee!!
Just got off the phone with Hec, and little Matilda is doing fine. She had an upper GI series done this morning, which came back completely normal, so the docs suspect she just swallowed some gunk in utero. She should be released from the NICU at 3 this afternoon.
As for JZ, she's showered and caffeinated and feeling like, and I quote, "the happiest girl in the world."
YAY! Jen, did they stich her, staple her, or tape her? Did she say?
Also, what shape is her cervix now?
As for JZ, she's showered and caffeinated and feeling like, and I quote, "the happiest girl in the world."
Excellent! It's really a miracle what a good shower and a shot of caffeine can do for you. Not to mention that awesome rush of oxytocin. I'm so happy that Matilda's problem doesn't appear to be serious.
Yay for Matilda coming out of NICU! And for JZ feeling like the happiest girl in the world. That bit made me sniffle.

Hivemind cooking help, please!
Stephen entrusted me with putting a fresh turkey in this afternoon. (I know, he's out of his mind.) It's been in for four and a half hours, which was recommended for its weight. It has no pop-up timer (it was a fresh turkey) and now I don't know if it's done or not.
The oven is old and temperamental (baking is a nightmare), and it looks to me like a lot of pink juice ran out when I sliced into the drumstick. Strangely, the juice looked clear when I sliced into the breast. And it's not as brown as I'd like overall, but I did what the DH told me and only took the foil off for the last hour.
Help! It was supposed to be cooling on the counter by now. Any way I can be very sure it's done?
