Oh! I know this one! 'Slaying entails certain sacrifices, blah blah blahbity blah, I'm so stuffy, gimme a scone.'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Emmett's story made me tear up. Good lord, I'm a sap. He's going to make an awesome big brother. I'm torn. While Owen is so young that he'll never remember a time without Olivia, he's still so young that his plaintive cries of "puuuut the babeeee doooooown!" kill me. Emmett's old enough to get the big picture and be lured by the incredible cuteness that is a baby.

Go, JZ! What a trooper. Hec, you guys did a wonderful job and I can't wait to see pictures. Get your rest, too.

It's going to be fairly boring (except for staring into her daughter's face with adoration) for the next several days.

That is one of the worst thing with a hospital delivery. It's nice to have nurses on call and having someone bring you hot (if bland) meals, the craftmatic adjustable beds and, as Plei mentioned, the cool, rolly, clear plastic basinets. But hospitals are BORING places with crap tv channels and no internet access. Especially when the baby's still in sleep-all-the-time-except-for-eating mode.

I wish I was close enough to visit and see you guys.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

camel named matilda

As it happens, I'm sitting here writing a playscript for Roald Dahl's Matilda for my Drama Group right now AIFG.

...well, actually AIFTiring, but I've got a couple of pages written already and I'll finish the rest this weekend. A couple of pages will suffice to do some work on reading and casting on Thursday, and then by Monday I can get the (first version of) the script to them all, with strict instructions to LEARN THE BLOODY LINES.

Still totally thrilled for the Zmayems.

Awwwwww...

So nice to wake up to the birthing story and all the gushing. Congratulations, David, JZ and Emmett.

I too was crying during the Emmett story.

------

Today was my sleep-in day. Apparently, Toto had other plans. Poor little guy isn't feeling well. He's been vomiting since about 2am. At 5:30, I just decided to get up. Blech. It's going to be a long day.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Today was not sleep in day for me. I have an 8:15 epidural injection appointment which means DH and I have to get the kids around way early to get me to my appointment (since I can't drive myself).

Then Liv decided she wanted to wake up around 4. I got her to sleep around 4:30 and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Which, of course, means put the kettle on and crank up the b.org. Should shower. Then I can make egg-in-a-basket for C when he wakes up.

I hope Toto feels better soon, vw. Dog barfiness just sucks.

I knew I was forgetting something! Go ND!

Poor Cashmere! My sistah in non-sleepies.

Then I can make egg-in-a-basket for C when he wakes up.

That sounds yummy. I think I may need to make that for breakfast in a bit.

What is even happening?

MATILDA!

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda. You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Hec, thanks so much for posting about Matilda's birth. Your story made me cry, particularly (but not limited to) Emmett's story. I hope you (and Jacqueline) got a good sleep last night.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

WooHoo, ND!

I'm so glad that Emmett is coming around on the little sister deal.
