Argh.
While I understand that High Holiday ticket sales help support congregations and pay for stuff like prayer books and cleaning and the cookies after services and all of that, I'm just getting really frustrated at having to pay $180 for it. (And yes, that's the discounted student price.) (And it's nothing compared to what some of the suburban synagogues that have more stuff charge.)
I know that if I ask my mother, she'll pay for it. And I know that I can manage the $180 -- it's not going to bankrupt me. It's just irritating to have to pay to pray.
Hey, anyone have any insight into becoming an actuary? Advice, et cetera?
Nah. No actuaries around here.
I'm glad the manicure helped JZ.
Nicole, I just got it today, and I sent you a thankyou note this afternoon.
THANK YOU!!!
am so excited about it! I'm buying new pants!
as long as they're not gauchos :)
Notice how she is not denying it?
Okay, Nicole, Lee - I can get a flight for like $150 that weekend. Tell me if I should do it.
I just got it today
Phew! It suddenly occurred to me that it might have been left outside your door while you were in Vegas and then stolen without you even knowing about it.
It's just irritating to have to pay to pray.
Very understandably irritating, Hil.
