YOU DO NOT LIME.
Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
do too.
Must go to work now. boo
OH, and she currently has 101.7% in her AP Physics class.
Very awesome! To be a total rock star, however, she should take AP Bio and AP Chem too. And take AP English twice. And...fun. Tell her to look into what colleges she's considering and what their stance on AP credit is. Depending on what she plans on majoring in, she can choose which tests to take. Sure, I got some sort of "Distinguished Achievement" honor, but in retrospect, some of the AP tests I took were a waste of time and money because they didn't really translate to any useful credit at Rice. The classes were worth it, of course, but not the $75 and stress of the tests (although, hey, you do get out of class).
WindSparrow, that's an amusing dream.
In other news, I have admitted defeat. Or, rather, I have had defeat admitted for me. I made my case to no avail. I'm writing a $1,300 check to buy everyone fucking diamond fucking jewelry in exchange for the years of not giving them anything for Raksha Bandhan. This is supposed to make me look good, so it better make me look REALLY FUCKING GOOD, like they should write books about how fucking generous I am. And when I told my mom I thought jewelry was stupid so if I was going to get her a gift, I'd rather support something other than stupid shiny rocks, she said what she really needed was to have her house renovated. I told her I couldn't pay for that, so she said she wanted some sort of furniture in her closet because there's no space to put stuff, and I wasn't sure how much a Gift to My Mother is supposed to cost, so I didn't quote her anything, but I hope she finds something for under $500 because there goes a month's salary. So I'm paying for my microwave and desk and computer and throwing in a few hundred dollars for extra goodies for the girls, and everyone is happy. But me. Which is as it should be.
Also, she's almost done with the VM S1 DVDs I bought her for Mother's Day. She thinks Duncan did it.
On the upside, I did lie and say I still don't eat meat on Thursdays, which I stopped doing, like, five years ago.
Polter - she took AP Chem last year.
Cindy - I. Well. ok. When you put it that way. Me, I think of my high school career which included zero AP classes, much cutting, and so-so grades.
2.5 hours and I'm running away from work.
I thought this was a cash exercise in the first place, Sunil.

I thought that was totally probable, up until the killer's id was revealed. Wasn't Duncan Rob's fall back? I seem to recall reading that if the mystery leaked, he was going to change it to Duncan.
Sunil, do you have to do this every year or are you done?
Polter - she took AP Chem last year.
She took AP Chem as a sophomore?? What the frell kind of school is this?! Go her.
I thought this was a cash exercise in the first place, Sunil.
Well, my money sure is getting a work-out, if that's what you mean.
Sunil, do you have to do this every year or are you done?
Just the once. Which is why she is deaf to my complaints. Whatever. I'm tired of ever asserting myself.
Well, my money sure is getting a work-out, if that's what you mean.
I thought you had to give them money. Now you're talking about closet organizing systems and diamonds. I'm just confused, is all.
She took AP Chem as a sophomore?? What the frell kind of school is this?!
Heee. Last year she had AP Chem, AP European History, English EXP, Advanced Algebra II, and Spanish 3. She didn't take the AP Chem test, but got a 3 on the AP European History test.
She is still waffling on what she wants to major in, so she hasn't been looking at school requirements much yet. We have talked about how different colleges view AP classes though.
I thought you had to give them money. Now you're talking about closet organizing systems and diamonds. I'm just confused, is all.
No, the money was for diamonds. I didn't make that clear before. Or, well, I didn't know that was the One True Reason to spend money before. Because diamonds are forever, don't you know. They will always remember that diamond bracelet I bought them and think about how fucking awesome I am.
She is still waffling on what she wants to major in, so she hasn't been looking at school requirements much yet.
Most schools require you to take classes outside your major, so one definite thing she should do is take AP tests for anything she's totally not interested in being forced to take in college. For me, that was anything in the social sciences like government and economics and history and all that business.
