Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You'll miss Tom, but he can whoop it up in the pub on your behalf.

They don't want to look like they're begging for diapers
Aimee, in a year from now when she's gone from ultra-expensive name brand to generic store brand, she'll be kicking herself for not doing it.

Because books.

If they don't want that particular game at the shower, that's fine. B didn't like the idea in the first place and I was surprised she said to do it later.

Aims, I posted a possible baby shower *game* in your LJ entry about the shower, but I now doubt they'd like it.

Personally, I would have creamed my pants if I got multiple packages of free diapers.

Edited because I like my vulgar metaphors to be grammatically correct.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I doubt this will happen. I suspect she'll always be a name brand buyer. We buy mostly the same brand but we buy in bulk from the big warehouse store.

Dang, Nora, too bad Tom won't be there over the weekend, I was hoping to snag two Buffista DHs at once!

Brenda, since Matt's going to be hanging around longer (over an actual weekend), you want to get together in Milwaukee to schmooze?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I doubt this will happen. I suspect she'll always be a name brand buyer.

This. As much as I love B, she equates $ with quality.

Yes! Beth, do we have dates for Matt? (Um, calendar dates - I'm not trying to hook your husband up or anything.)

As much as I am a total snob about many things (and I am), I will never get the people for whom most expensive automatically = best.

The Red Menace has thankfully retreated past the 54th parallel of my IUD. HA! Take that, you commie bastards!

I'm like Marge Simpson at the moment. I can't afford to shop anywhere that has a philosophy.
