Jimmy Olsen jokes're pretty much gonna be lost on you, huh?

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Anyone good with dream analysis?
I used to be decent at it. If no one chimes in before I am back on the board tomorrow, I will give you my Dreams 101 version. Usually accurate but I lack the nuance.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Apples and peanut butter utterly rock.

While they are a favourite snack of mine, apparently peanut butter on the whole is not a Thing here. I had an apple with peanut butter and honey (which was so delicious) and my co-worker looked at me like I was crazy for putting it into my mouth. So I cut off a piece of apple and smeared some honey and peanut butter on it, and made her eat it, and she was like, “Huh. Not bad. I’d never think of it though.” Which was just crazy! Because it’s such standard afterschool snack food for me.

Cross-posted with Natter, I have some new pictures from Dublin: [link]

Sorry to hear about your weekend, meara, I know you were looking forward to it.

It’s a very Irish day today. Low-hanging grey clouds, a little rustly wind, the feeling of it being colder than it actually is. I expect the skies to open any moment now. The view from my desk is right outside on the main road, N11, and from there I can see this wide expanse of sky and anything else that goes on in the outside world, while I’m tucked up in here behind my overly large and slightly imposing desk.

They are in the final stages of interviewing a permanent receptionist for the job I’m currently performing. I went in knowing I was only going to be here for a short period of time (hence the word temp, right?) and five weeks isn’t shabby at all for this line of work. But I’m still going to be sad to leave. These people are great, and even though this isn’t a fulfilling job, in any real way, it was easy to slip into and very comfortable. I got in the groove and dig my co-workers and the location…I wish they would put off hiring a new receptionist until I left.

Our wings are not tired.

May you get the good camera person who does this the best! Did you get some much needed sleep vw?

{{meara}} Sorry about the awful visit.

{{Emily}} I think I need a zat gun for just 2 of them.

Raq, you need a zat gun in the dream too. Use it to commandeer a flight out of town.

We went to HS open house last night. Big damn school. Wow, doesn't look so large from the outside. Teachers are very nice. My son is a joker.

A little. Not as much as I'm supposed to, but I'll survive.

Ok. I'm off to find some coffee and get to the hospital.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Don't want to go to work. Feh.

But I just applied for a job I think I really want. Call-me-back-ma, please?

Rainy and grey today. But the NBC weatherman told me (actually told me, not on the tv - he broadcasts outside my building) that tomorrow would be gorgeous.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Much seeing-the-fabulousness-that-is-brenda m~ma to you!

We're gray here (NC) with rain forcast for the afternoon. But my three-day weekend is supposed to be sunny and low-80s, which should be lovely. I'm really looking forward to it. And alternating between "what if I suck!?!??" freaking out about the new job and "oooooh, maybe we could do these cool things with the website". I hope the latter rules come next Monday.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Am feeling like, "I am woman hear me roar!" today. I don't quite know why, except that I have the credit card and the car and no kids for another 2.5 hours. Not that I'm going to do anything with the credit card, but it's there.

Call-you-back! quickly and with an awesome offer ma for Brenda.

In my skippiness, I somehow missed that JZ's upright and the baby's downright and all is well. This is YAYsome.

Daisy, glad you're feeling better. Meara, I hope you feel better today. Vw, good luck with the cameras, be sure to show them your good side. I'm glad your mom went through the surgery so well.

Random fun: There's a woman who comes to pick up her kid at school every day wearing something new and strange. One day it was fishnets and a very short, very thin, satin skirt with extremely high heels, another day it was black tights, high heels, and a lime green dress with black accents--very mod looking. I can't wait to see what she wears today. I am one of THOSE moms. I wear comfortable clothing in which I can take out the dog, clean up a diaper, and wrestle the children, though not all at the same time.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Me, too. Coffee stained maternity t-shirt even though my baby is 7 months old. Black yoga pants and a pair of slip on sports sandals.

Enjoy your freedom, Deena!

Today is the kids' last day with our daycare provider so I'm supposed to do something fun on DH's orders. I'm going to see what movies are playing a matinee and jump in the shower.
