Oddly enough, I have. My grandmother really loved "Evening in Paris" perfume, which they'd stopped making, so I did a somewhat extensive search (and learned much more about the perfume than I really wanted to) so I could give it to her for Christmas. I eventually ended up ordering through Sephora. And then she died that same year, so I got most of the perfume back. Not that you should take that as an omen or anything.
Also, I have an apartment! Yaaay! Now I just have to figure out how to get all my things from their current locations scattered across the Bay Area.
ETA: And I pretty much found that all sites were essentially the same too. There was a difference of maybe five dollars among them -- eventually I went with Sephora because I knew them. Think I might actually have used froogle for the price comparing.
{{{Anne}}} Hope you're sleeping soundly. Keep track of this stuff. I'm sure it'll all get worked out.
EMILY!
I'm up! I'm up! Have much to do today, starting with a trip to the grocery store. Thankfully, I have mom's car for the weekend, so it'll be nice and easy. I'm gonna go to the fancy grocery store that I found in the next neighborhood over. Wheeee! (The things I find exciting!)
Gronk. Am awake. Did not sleep well. Or very much.
Awwww...{{{Anne}}} I'm so sorry.
Thanks. I'm in a better head-space now. When I'm conscious, it's easier to turn off the worry. I'll get through this, although I'll probably have a few more mini-meltdowns before it's all over.
The good news in all of this is, I haven't resorted to stress eating the way I have in the past. Big victory, that.
Sorry for the sleeplessness, Anne. But a big yay on not stress eating!
That is truly a big victory, in my mind. I think in my last job, I put on about 20 pounds over the last six months I was there, thanks to stress.
I've also started yoga classes, which I'm hoping will be a help when it comes to learning how to quiet my mind.
Oooo! Yoga! Fabulous! I think there's a new yoga studio opening up a few blocks from my new place. I'll have to check it out once it opens.
Well, huh. Looks like this is actually an established studio that's moving into my neighborhood at the beginning of September. And, as part of their moving, they're running a 90-day special for $95! I might have to try that!
