I tried to meara, but I accidently closed the window instead of minimizing it when someone walked into the office. Serves me right for not using WordPad, but at least I got no strange looks from my cow-orker.

I second the Honeycrisp love. So yummy. But, they can be hard to find around here. So I go to Fujis and Galas as a standard because they are always available.

I'm totally having a braeburn and peanut butter for dinner tonight.

My day has improved. Pookah ate his stitches, but didn't otherwise harm his incision, so we just had to put a collar on him. The collar is comedy gold. He also pooped in the vet's waiting room, which meant I didn't have to stand around in the rain waiting for him to get the idea it's supposed to be done outside. Not good in the long term, but I'm all about the short-term gratification today.

I went to the grocery store to buy wet wipes and ended up getting everything for salad and chili. Chili with sharp cheddar and diced tomatoes on top, flour tortillas on the side--that's gonna be dinner.

The apple thing reminds me of my mom. She brought Fujis when she came to visit.

Mom: Oh I love Fujis! They're the best apple! Me: They're really good, but I like Gala's a little bit better. Mom: No. Fujis are the best.

She doesn't like it when people disagree with her. Thank heavens I'm not a subject of that kingdom anymore.

I've never had a honeycrisp. I miss living in Oregon where we got plums and nuts and berries, peaches, apples, pears...all the good stuff, right off the tree/bush/other.

I do still have a headache. It comes and goes in waves, from behind my left eye to the back of my head. Right now I'm sitting still, drinking diet coke, and relaxing before chili creation time, though, and that is good.

Ahh, another one with the apple and peanut butter love. DH doesn't get it. In fact, he has to leave the room; it makes him queasy. I married a very strange man.

Apple and peanut butter makes him queasy? I don't get it. I love the apple/peanut butter combo.

Eh, but then again, nacho cheese flavored tortilla chips make me queasy, so who am I to talk?

There is no better thing to do with an apple, than eat it with peanut butter.

Or cheese.

Or in a pie.

ooh ooh or plain!

Or dipped in Greek yogurt.

or with caramel!

or baked with cinnamon and brown sugar in the middle and pastry around the outside!
