move out and draw fire

The theory that the gas prices are coming down because of elections coming up has already been offered....

Ya think? The oil companies have already made ludicrous profits the last couple years, so they can afford to rein it in to help keep their advocates in Congress. Smart business.

There was a "change to Republican" table outside the Safeway we went to today

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I may be getting a bookcase from across the hall, but thank you, beth. I promise, I'll get the rest of my stuff, er, one of these days. Seriously, not enough hours in the week. But the trip to Belmont/Fremont was actually the only time I left the Mission in two weeks, so you can see how my life is going (largely frazzled, adrift in a sea of Spanish, and occasionally fearful for my life).

ETA: Sorry for any incoherence. Sozzled. Must sleep now.

EATA: As opposed to last night when I intended to get drunk so I would stop beating myself up and couldn't get there, tonight I was done beating myself up and just wanted another glass of wine, and of course I'm wicked tipsy. Hella tipsy? Hecka tipsy!

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I have informed the DH that Dublin has Dr. Pepper, so we must bid on it. (Not that we'll get it because posts like that go to the teacher's pets). But still! Ireland! Dublin! With Dr. Pepper!

I still say it cannot be found in this city. But god I wish I could! Even the vending machines at the train stations don't have it.

Lilt is better.

I know not this drink.

Lilt is definitely in the fruity soda category.

And thus not for me! Dr Pepper has never tasted like fruit to me.

In Ireland, Dr Pepper is bottled by Coca-Cola Bottlers Ireland. Link to CCBI: [link]

I saw that, Daniel, thanks. (Not that I spent a day or so at work researching this or anything.)

Emily, I'm glad to hear you're settling in to SF!

Do you know where, weirdly, always seems to have it? Boots. Try Boots. And yeah, vending machines definitely won't have it; it's not poular enough. Also Tescos usually has it.

I called the Tesco, and the guy (good-naturedly) laughed at me! But I'll check Boots.

Definitely check Boots, and maybe some of the bigger Spars. I know some places have it, because it's my drink of choice, and the Spar around the corner from my house definitely has it.

Jars, that just makes me tempted to go to where you're house is and buy it there!

Called the Boots in the Jervis Centre, and apparently they used to stock it but no longer do. Oy!
