And SA, the Dart! Be sure and get it to Greystones, because the views once you're past Glenageary are fantabulous. Unless you don't like heights.
I love heights! I will definitely try to remember this; I think the DART is going to be my new best friend.
SA, I'm glad to hear you're settled! How do you like Ireland?
I like it quite a lot! I thought today, "Now, Dublin, here's a city I could settle into for awhile."
SA, sorry about the car troubles. I'm glad you weren't hurt. When was your stuff stolen? Yay, for being in Dublin! I hope you love it.
My stuff got stolen the second day I was in the city. I should have been more conscious of my bag, but the thief literally snatched it from against my feet, so. Thanks for the well wishes!
I drank way too much last night. And I think I left my phone charger at work, and thus it is dead dead dead. I wanted to go to the coast this morning, but I was on that knife edge of hungover where you're not hugging the toilet, but it really is a better idea to be prone on the bed than up shuffling around. Now, though, I've watched Project Runway and Heroes, and was able to get some eggs and toast with jam without problem, so I think I'm going to be okay. Probably go to the coast tomorrow, though; if I leave the house it will just be to get milk.
Are you there for school, SA? Or is this for some kind of "working abroad" program? I know you said you had a job, but I wasn't sure if that was just to help pay expenses for school.
It's a working holiday visa, which basically means I'm classified as a tourist who can work. I graduated college in May, so I'm no longer in school.
I thought you were done with school, but then thought maybe you were going back for more. Buffistas seem to be like Oliver Twist when it comes to education, "more, please." The "working tourist" idea sounds cool. How long do you get to stay with it?
Edited because green tea lattes do NOT provide the same mental kick as coffe.
Yay, Jen! Such wonderful news. I was so pleased to read that this morning!
Another yay for Jen! Awesome news, babe!
Oh, gosh, Jen, I forgot to say how happy I am for you. This is wonderful.

I'll probably go back to school in a couple years, after I've got some of this life stuff under my belt. Not that I know what I want to go to school for. But that is a question for another time.
I have a four month visa for Dublin and a six month visa for the UK, so I'll be working and touristing for most of the oncoming year. It's a pretty nice deal!
today was my last day of chemo
Yay! Such excellent news to wake up to!
Blarg. I am full of gronk, and the Halloweenie is full of pep. It's a disconcerting combination.
I think that always happens, JZ. My babies were very quiet when I was on the move, and very active when I was trying to rest. And if I had a carb-y snack? Zap! Boom! Thump!
Yeah. Hec and I went to see a matinee of
The Illusionist
yesterday (not a Great Film, but definitely a good movie, and also incredibly beautifully filmed, just about every single frame rich and glowing and halfway between silent-film looking and painterly), and within 90 seconds of my first gulp of root beer, she was leaping like a mad leapy thing.
