Hey! What a surprise! Hostile 17! Can I get you a drink, Hostile 17?

What is even happening?

No, but if/since the girls were on the family's property, the cops could have chased them off.

I was just wondering about Sparky's comments, and if I'd missed something specifically about these kids being repeat offenders.

You didn't miss anything, Cindy. Specifically, this might have been the first offense for these girls. I was speaking more generally in that, if parents/authority figures had stepped in from the beginning, to stop the taunting and make it clear that this wasn't acceptable way to act against this man/family, then the girls might never have gotten the idea this was a way to spend their evening.

I'd bet folding money that brenda's right about the parents tormenting the guy, back in their day. It's like Boo Radley, only with a bad ending.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Timelies.

I love the white dog and getting to take it home for the night would have been my sole goal if I'd been in Miss Fay's class.

{{{Sean and S}} ~ma to you both.

the place is still deserted.

I was sleeping. Aidan decided not to sleep until 5:30 this morning. Needless to say, he's missed his second day of school. Hopefully things will be better by Monday.

Again, generally speaking, I think it's not just the news coverage that favors good-looking cheerleader/football player types. Parents, teachers, cops, principals, etc., are all inclined to give 'em a pass on behavior they might not ignore in other, less Norman Rockwell kids.

Yay! I get mine cut at 5. Which, since I misremember where you are, may be the same as your 4.

Yep. Some of the kids who gave me significant grief in elementary school were photogenic, ain't-we-just-too-cute types. When you're hitting me with rocks then no, you ain't just too cute. No one believed that the bruises came from "such nice kids".
