Drusilla ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Herding cats for fun

Thanks guys. Just once, I think I'll put my feet up on the desk during an interview, insult everyone and scratch myself for good measure. Let 'em see how bad it can get!

I'm going to combat my blue funk with a Good Deed.

There's a scraggly old kitty hanging around by my sister's house. Clearly she used to be a pet, and she wants to be friends. So today she gets a bath in my kitchen, then she gets a trip to the vet, then she gets to live with me before the nights get any colder.

I plan to live up to my new Mutts T-shirt: Saving the world, one kitty at a time.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

{{Trudy}}

The red cross just called - not for $$, but for blood - and they are just going down the phone book. (I know because it has been thousands of years since I donated blood) ( and never out here) So I have an appointment on the 15th . I feel immensley less crabby and selfish.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yay for kitty saving and donating blood.

I am filled with gronk, so hugs and hairpats for those who need them. Problem with a holiday weekend? I forget to eat. Ooops.

What is even happening?

Oh, Trudy. Poor Curtis. Much health and a good recovery, to him.

(I suspect the brain bleed began in August, and was just identified in September. That's so August's way.)

Work is eating me from my bottom, BUT I have the most awesome toy here thanks to Lee. While we were wandering after brunch on Sunday, she found a Hot Wheels car with a skull and crossbones which she bought for herself. It was cool, and I told her so. Last night, what does my DH pull out but a prezzie from Lee! She gave the car to me! Proving once again, she's the generous one. Thanks, Lee! Vrrrrrrrrrooooommmmmmmmm!

Our wings are not tired.

I ate your share.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Thanks for the hugs and shit guys. I especially like that no one tried to tell me I was irrational. Y'all rock.

Had to take the day off today. I feel like I've been on a shaky adrenaline high for three days.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Katie, that so sucks. I'm sorry.

But plus side? Empty new-to-you bookcase possibilities! And new-to-you kitty! May she have no communicable diseases, and may Sophie and Mischka and the purported Squeaky accept her with grace. Grace? Gracie?

Ginger, I've managed to avoid the nasty stingy bitey caterpillars. Someone gave me a pot of mixed herb plants, predictably, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme and...oregano? Whatever, pretty. I'll transplant them all to their own pots and try to overwinter them. A mommy moth or butterfly visted the pot at some time, though, because I noticed, day before yesterday, in that way that you stare at something and then it suddenly goes click and you see something else? Like staring at the two profiles and suddenly seeing a vase? I saw caterpillars, several of them, the exact shade of the parsley, and peppered with black dots.

I wanted to remove them, but StY assured me, "They're just hanging out, they're not eating anything."

They ate all the parsley. I removed them--seven of them, not quite as round as my pinky finger and about an inch and a quarter long--from my deck and transferred them to a handy bush. No, I don't care whether they like the leaves on the bush. The only reason they continue to live at all is that they only ate all the parsley and didn't touch anything else, and ha-ha, joke's on them--I don't use parsley.

Laura I want you to know you did not bear this burden all alone. Scott and I did our part, too.

Hey Daisy Jane, how'd the hair color come out?
