We didn't have sex, if that's what you mean. That's all I do now, not have sex.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My sympathies. We tried getting up at 5:45 to get Brendon to school on time, but we are going to have to roll it back to 5:30. I envy morning people. It is not my way.

Thanks. I just took a nap because my brain wouldn't function and I have to write a paper today. Now I am starting my day over with a cup of tea. I think naps are the only way I am going to survive a 5:45 morning, at least until my body gets used to it. I spent too many years where my bedtime wasn't much earlier than that.

Stomach bug is gone! I'm drinking tea and had pancakes for breakfast. Hooray for solid food!

Yay!

Our wings are not tired.

Early morning is lovely, with the cooler temperatures and the pretty sunrise. It would be so nice to experience if I could get to bed at about 10 or so. But that just doesn't seem to happen. It is hard to appreciate all the early morning has to offer when my body is screaming for more sleep.

both S and her ER nurse said I should go home, as much as I wanted to stay until she got said bed, as caregivers need to get sleep and take breaks or else they burn out.

This. This this this this. Sean, why don't you stop by on your way up and/or back to the hospital today so you have some company? ND and BC will be working on show stuff here, and I'm just going to do some schoolwork. We could even feed you!

I just finished reading The Not so Big House by Sarah Susanka.
Beth, I love that book. I really need to get a copy one of these days, especially now that we're in a house.

I had NO idea about Steve Irwin. Wow. Freaky and very sad.

All my vibes are belong to Sean, ita, and Tep.

Yeah, I'll give you guys a call later today. I have to head straight up, to make sure a friend of Shari's knows where to go to visit her today, but I'll call later this afternoon.

Tell them to go away! Go away Suzi family! Get out, get out, get out!

Give them all ten dollars and send them to the mall.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Outside of UMKC and Ott's, did you ever go to Muddy's on 51st Street? That place was practically my office when not at school or home.

Sonus, I was there during both my grad school stints at UMKC. Way back in the way before it was Muddy's -- when it was still E. 51st Street Coffeehouse, and you could smoke your lungs out, inside.

I haven't been in a while, but I do get regular delivery from Kin Lin's. This despite the fact that about 10 years ago I saw them shredding cabbage by double=bagging them and rolling a car over them in the alley.

Needless to say, I order nothing with cabbage in it.

Oooooookay. I find this idea thrillling and intriguing.

What? If they used really STRONG lawn and garden bags, I'm sure it would be just fine.

Shutting up now.

Bounce

Ok - good news time.

CJ has had a huge bunk bed set in his room since he moved up from a toddler bed. Recently he asked if he could just have a "normal" bed. Well, looking at prices, I have been in stickershock over the idea of buying a new bed.

Enter craigslist. Just found him a brand new twin box springs/mattress/frame for $50. And the person lives 3 blocks from us. Wheeeee! Will be a nice surprise for CJ when he gets home.

Mostly lurking...

Yay for CJ! How exciting!

I slept in. Now I need to get my ass in gear. I don't wanna. I've made my list, though. That's something, right?
