Well, look who just popped open a fresh can of venom.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Looks like I'll be heading to your fair shores for my impending nuptials. Boston someplace, to be exact. And the boy wants to take me to New York, I think.

Meep! Close to Boston are DX Machina, Jon B, Nutty, Theodosia, vw bug, Frankenbuddha, Nora and Tom, Jen K, and me. A little further out are DX Machina, victor and thessaly, sj and teacup guy. I'm probably missing people (I'm sorry if I am). I keep thinking we have Emily, but we no longer have Emily, and that Kristin isn't all that far off, but she now is, and then my brain gets stuck.

Do you know when, Jars? Will your family come with you?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm not sure if there's a Boston mailing list like there is for other large urban areas with Buffistas, but if you want to find out which Buffistas live in the area and how to get on the list I'd check with vw bug. Although, now that it's been mentioned, I'm sure some of them will pop out of the woodwork to give you instructions.

Oh, wow, that's a lot of people. Wow. I hope I get to meet up with as many of you as humanly possible.

We're still not sure of the dates, but probably somewhere between the eighth and the fifteenth of October. My family won't be coming, because, you know, not really a real wedding and all . Boy's family might be attending things though. Plus I know I'll be having at least one day in the city, maybe more, so I can totally meet up with people at some point... YAY!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I am getting no Target.com love. I've tried every way I can think of to access the site but am getting bupkis.

Punishingly Intricate

lisah, have you checked Gap.com? Sometimes, they have better wash options.

I haven't! Mostly because I can't pull it up on my old OS computer at work and I never remember on my one at home.

Which cut?

I just went to the lady's room and was going to check and then forgot. So I went back! They are Gap Original Boot Cut. They have a leetle stretch in 'em.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Yup. I swear by those, too. When I worked there, I spent SO MUCH of my 50% discounts on them.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I love the "skinny" jeans-tucked into boots-tunic look.

Empress, *I* am flinching. Because, well, I REALLY don't get this whole 80s revival thing, especially since it only seems to flatter those who resemble toothpicks.

I just... I don't get it. I don't get wearing an outfit I could step into 1986 with and not get strange looks. I get gauchos more than I get the current trends (and I stand with Jilli on The Gaucho Question). Vogue has an entire article about The Return Of The Tunic and how fabulous it is, and I could only read it and shake my head sadly. But I still love you.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You should have seen the look on Pete's face when I turned up at their house wearing a brown courderoy kilt

Ohhhh, I saw this. Pete seemed to be stuck between...it's BROWN...and it's COURDEROY. But then Tickybox demanded that he draw a bear.
