[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cashmere, I am happy to announce that as a responsible adult, I am having a little bit of oatmeal, slathered in brown sugar, for breakfast. And, even though my mother taught me well, I don't feel the least bit of guilt.

Good! However, you'll notice that the oatmeal bits actually constitute a breakfast type food. A sweaty, toddler handful of mini m&m's do not. Nor do the fruit snacks he also kept yelling for (NEMO CRACKERS!!--what he calls his Nemo shaped, chewy fruit juice treats). I eventually got him to eat a biscuit sandwich--with butter and jelly. I'll chalk that up as a win.

Since it got chilly and is raining we went to Toddler Zone this morning so he could run around and play. It went fine until it was time to leave. Then back to wrestling a screaming toddler into the car seat while he cried all the way home. I hope this phase ends soon.

vw, what's the issue with the security deposit?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

TIMELIES!!!! hugs September tight

iTunes is playing me David Allan Coe's "Take This Job And Shove It", which I am actually disinclined to do this morning, as we have a very nummy, very heart-healthy breakfast provided to us by our financial overlords. Huzzah!

It's a lovely foggy morning - I love this city. I love my boyfriend. I love long weekends! YAY!

Mostly lurking...

vw, what's the issue with the security deposit?

They are to inspect the apartment each time a tenant leaves and then return the security deposit. Not only have they not done that, but they haven't paid any past tenants interest on their deposit, which leads us to believe that they won't pay us interest (although, we may have to wait and see).

The other thing about not inspecting after each tenant leaves, is they cannot legally hold us responsible for any damage they have to repair, since they did not properly inspect the premises after each tenant left and deduct damage from their security deposits.

Also, they are to give us a receipt for the security deposit, which they never did. And they are to put the security deposit in a savings account under our names. We are to get that bank account information within 30 days of signing the lease. We never did.

Lastly, they are to pay interest on the security deposit each year, or let us deduct it from our rent. They did not.

So, because of that, the amount of interest they owe us is tripled, and they get the joy of paying the court fees and my attorney costs for getting what is lawfully mine (or, really, ours).

So, really, it's many issues, not just one.

I skipped. All my love and hugs to the people that helped vw out of her apartment. Yay!

Long weekend! Which is going to be wonderful despite the mid week break taking off Tuesday and Wednesday. Yay! I need to plan a weekend blast.
