Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Aw, Hec, babe. Sorry to hear that. Can sort of relate...not completely, obviously, but you know.I *do* get cabin fever a lot.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And how is JZ doing?

She's fine. Reassured after the sonogram and heart monitoring. She was happy to get out of the house. We're on for weekly sonograms now, so she'll have that outing to look forward to.

Actually, once Emmett goes back to school on the 30th, I'll be able to go to a local cafe and write, but be close enough to scurry back if Jacqueline needs me. By Sept 6th we'll see the doctor and can lobby to get off bed rest.

It's only bugging me so much because the original bedrest was going to be two weeks and then an evaluation. They pushed it to three just because we already had an appointment then. And they just pushed our appointment back by a week again because of this visit. At no time have they made another medical evaluation about the bedrest. We're just sliding around on their appointment book.

It's frustrating. I was planning on having Aug, Sept and most of October to get the bulk of the book done. That's not happening right now. By October my unemployment will run out and we'll have a baby so...back to work plus sleepless nights are in my future.

Anyway, everytime I see a sonogram the Halloweenie just looks exceptionally healthy and strong. And it was good for Emmett to see her. He was very curious about the sonogram.

Top priorities are JZ's health and the baby, of course. But they're both fine. Nothing at all has happened since the abruption.

Because books.

Emmett was a trooper, though and watched the sonogram with interest. Almost worth it for that.

That's very cool. Sorry about the bedrest continuing, though. I bet JZ is going out of her mind, too.

Can you go in the bedroom and work a little bit? Or is JZ in there with Emmett home?

On a scale of Zen Calm to Crazed Hillbilly my cabin fever is escalating towards Appalachian.

::bites lip:: I know this is tough, but I have to say that made me snort out loud. Hee.

Punishingly Intricate

GC, I think you might love my friends' store that is opening this fall. Here's a sample of the kind of thing they will be selling.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Hey! I stay home to rest my back and you guys start a new thread? Not Fair! Also, I have been sitting up in the computer chair at home too long now (read: 15 minutes) and I have to go. I'll catch up with the old thread later...

Also, Raq, I have been sporting those crazy baxi-pads for my lower back as well. I guess they help (when my back hurts this much I'll try anything) but it gives me back sweat like nobody's business.

On that note, ta ta, see y'all tomorrow!

(PS-glad everything's OK with the Zmayhem clan, but sorry about the cabin fever.)

Disability, Medical, and general paperwork are making me and the baby Jesus cry. I need to stop for the day or go crazy.
