That's true. There's so much distateful about Royce and his political machine ways, it's easy to forget that.
I have to wonder if Johnny would have died, or so quickly, anyway, if there hadn't been a Hamsterdam. As much good as it did for so many others. And once I start thinking down that road I have to wonder where he was coming up with the money for his dope without Bubbles bringing him along.
IME, sometimes people trying to do The Right Thing are the worst.
Yeah. It's hard to remember that after watching him order opponents' signs to be removed and all that just now.
So far, I like Carcetti much better when he's sure he has no chance than when he's trying to win.
Dude. Omar just hit the poker game.
To be fair, that's one hell of a nice ring.
I might be getting season one of The Wire soon. And then I will know what ya'll are talking about. *g*
I finally plunked down the cash to have my very own copy of Season 1, too. And I think I'm going to rewatch it as soon as it comes in.
My mother sent the end back to netflix by mistake.
I had this post about how Debi Mazar has been in, like, everything, and she's a really well-known and accomplished actress,
I had no idea of the actress from her name so I image-googled her and, apparently, I've credited Fairuza Balk with everything she's ever done. They're eerily similar looking.
Has there been any new word on 'John from Cincinnati' recently?
I was just coming in here to ask what that was about!
Also, is anyone else watching This American Life? 103 was very moving to me.
Haven't heard anything new about John From Cincinnati. Wikipedia reports that Dayton Callie & Jim Beaver are in the cast, so yay.

I wish I were watching This American Life. It looks phenomenal.
It's remarkably engaging. I enjoy the radio show a lot, but there's some depth they bring with being able to see what's being talked about. I really like the show, despite mixed reviews.
