Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

They pay me in WOIMS

So, a while back, a TV writer I like, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, was doing a Q&A, and I asked him what writing lessons you could take away from Andor. His answer was something along the lines of, “The writers on Andor are very good at making archetypes personal, and the personal archetypal”.

And that made me realize what was bothering me about King. His characters are nothing but archetypes. So not only does he SHOW them doing archetypal things, his characters are mostly SAYING things like “I must do this archetypal thing because I am an archetype, that’s who I am.” His Wonder Woman is so much an archetype that she doesn’t seem to be a person with agency.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, interesting!

I can't tell from the trailer if I will want to watch Lanterns or not. Kyle Chandler is certainly a draw, but I am not really liking the role so far...

Forgot to watch The Pitt last week until today, two back to back is a lot. No rats, though.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm glad I learned about the... great big genius mice. I'll not be watching that now.

Get in my eyeballs. I have always loved Green Lantern.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Kyle Chandler seems like he was born to play an older, cynical Hal Jordan.

I'm a bit puzzled by how the vibe in the trailer seems more like True Detective than a superhero comic book adaptation, but with Lindelof involved there must be some absurd twists that just aren't hinted at yet.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I saw a theory online that the murder they're investigating is of another Lantern.
