I feel alright with that finale. Of course, I didn't have a huge amount of investment in the series.
My two fave scenes were both animal-related. Drogon's grief at Dany's death (nudging her body with his snout! I might have teared up a bit) and of course, Jon reuniting with Ghost. And that shot of Drogon unfurling his wings behind Dany was amazeballs.
I liked the shot of Tyrion walking on the map, with the rubble on either side and the straight path between Winterfell and Kings Landing.
Oh, I didn't notice that, Amy. Nice! Was watching on my phone, so.
Drogon's wings and Drogon's grief were both excellent moments. Poor dragon.
What finally happened to Drogon (Last of His Name and Species)?
He's in the wind. Picked up Dany's body and flew away
Flew east, my guess is to Valyeria.
What finally happened to Drogon (Last of His Name and Species)?
Flew off to parts unknown with his Ma in his paw.
Valyria's all Doomed! I don't know where he went but I hope it's somewhere with not a lot of people but a lot of cattle or other good dragon prey.
Doomed for people. Do we know it's doomed for Dragons? (Not a book reader)
I really want one of the spin offs to be ancient Valyria.
Oh, I would love a Valyria spin off. So mysterious and fascinating!
IIRC the big reason that the only dragons for several centuries have been those associated with the Targaryens is the Doom of Valyria wiping out everything including the dragons there. But that might just be in the books?
I'm secretly hoping that one of the statues or eggs or something at Dragonstone will hatch or come to life or whatever it takes to keep Drogon company. Lord of Light should be good for that. Bringing back Jon for who knows why and Berric Dondarrion a kajillion times so he could eventually protect a girl he'd never met the first time he died, one dragon doesn't seem like too much to ask.
