Always Anti-fascist!

Cheerios(Hey, they're Omar's favorites): I'm still glad, however, that most shows do not try for that level of visceral response, as it would take years off my life.

  • Fuckin'* George. Making me cry like a bitch.
Why come he got to punk me that way? After I'm out there buying his books and shit, when you know everybody on *this* coast got their panties wet for that Hillerman bitch.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Because I think I'm going to be sad about this for a couple of days, and you know that feels ridiculous.

Like Erika said, that hurt doesn't really go away. Should say a lot about a show that years later, I still feel sad for a fictional teenage drug runner.

Somehow that kind of reminds me of a hoax we studied in journalism school. Some woman named Janet Something wrote this story about "Jimmy" the preteen drug fiend in The Washington Post, about how he shared works with his parents and etc. Except Janet made it up, or at least it wasn't able to be corroborated, and when somebody talked to her editor at the Post later, he said the worst part was that there could be real Jimmys out there, and nobody would believe it.ETA: Yeah, Corwood, I'm fine *now* but the end of Season Four did apparently bring up things or something...I'm usually not the type to cry at television.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

So I think this episode of Rome should be subtitled "Portrait of Mark Antony as a Rent Boy."

I have no idea how I'm going to deal with only one more episode of this. I just desperately wish they would film a third season.

Also? Watch Pullo's eyes through the whole scene with Gaia. He went from love to confusion to horror to hatred to fierce, unyielding resolution in mere seconds, and then followed it with self-loathing and then hatred again. I cannot believe how much he conveyed with his eyes and the set of his mouth without saying a word. Incredible.

And poor Vorenus. That is the look of a man who misses his boyfriend.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, Vorenus telling Caesarion about his father. Beautiful.

There really should be more.

Punishingly Intricate

Should say a lot about a show that years later, I still feel sad for a fictional teenage drug runner.

After erika's comment about the commentary I was going to say that I really need to rewatch the Wire from the beginning but I really don't know that I can live through some of it, like Wallace's death, again.

Also, Vorenus telling Caesarion about his father. Beautiful.

loved that so much. I am so sad there is just the one episode left. And I'm really worried about what's going to happen! Although I was sure that Antony was going to go through with killing Atia & Octavia in this week's ep.

I rewatched the whole damn thing right before S4 started and regret it not a bit. In fact, I'll probably rewatch it again later this year, just because I miss it.

I think I will rewatch before season 5. They're starting filming this month! Weeee!

I know! And I'm glad you're rewatching. Relive the highs! Relive the lows! Relive the, um, mediums!

Always Anti-fascist!

For such a serious show, there is always so much comedy...one of the millions of things I love Bunk Moreland for.
