Jamie survives the bricks, then he kills Cersei, then a cache of dragonfire explodes, and he walks through the flames, then an anvil falls on him and he gets up and kills Dany, making him a thrice-over Kingslayer.

I would be v v happy if Nymeria came back and killed Cersei in the finale

OMGYES. I am officially ok with Cersei surviving having the Red Keep dropped on her if Nymeria rips her throat out.

I and many others missed what might have been a significant scene at the very beginning of the episode. It came when Varys was in close conversation with one of his "little birds," a kitchen maid named Martha, who says that Daenerys isn't eating.

"We'll try again at supper," he says.

On Monday, some astute "Thrones" fans suggested that Varys, having decided that the Dragon Queen was unfit to rule, was trying to poison her.

Go back and rewatch the scene: It's pretty convincing, especially when you consider 1.) that Varys was previously involved in a plot to poison Dany for King Robert in Season 1, an assassination attempt she mentioned to Gendry last week, and 2.) how the camera lingered on one of his rings — a poison container? — as he removed it before facing his execution.

Who knows what, if anything, will come of it. But I love that this close to the end, the show is still slipping in sneaky things like this.

I noticed the attempted poisoning, and was glad to see Varys rebuilding his spider's web.

Davids - so with you on not being surprised by the turn Dany took. (I have a friend who was very disappointed about this.) Dany's isolation and lack of non-rulery type friends from Westeros was definitely a bad sign.

I totally missed that the bit with Varys and his little bird meant they were trying to poison Dany. And I am interested to see (if it happens) who gets the Ravens that Varys sent and how they will react.

I agree that the destruction of King's Landing bits went on much too long. (Is that why we only have 6 rather than 8 episodes so that they can have long draggy episodes?)

I saw this thing on youtube where the youtuber kept on talking about the "epilogue" - is there going to be a random post-war episode of the show?

I wonder if there are any Mormonts left? (So sad about Lady Mormon - loved her character. Can you imagine a Queen of the North Queen's Council that included Arya and Lady Mormont? And possibly Brienne?)

I also couldn't understand why Dany didn't flame the ships withe the dragon killing weapons. And a night time raid would have made sense. (I bet the Drogon could have come at the ships from under water too.)

I wanted Arya to kill Cersei, but I liked what the Hound said to her and that she went off and fixated on trying to save people, so I didn't dwell in my disappointment.

I hope Jaime and Cersei are dead, because once I got past said disappointment that Arya wasn't going to slay that vampire woman, I liked their death. I kept thinking about all the ways they had authored their own demise.

I am trying not to judge the end before I see any of it, but right now, I'm tempted to say I'll feel a little Annie Wilkes-ish, if they survived the destruction of the Red Keep.
