This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Hey!
I highly recommend the New Yorker's recapper. She's Cleo on TWoP-levels of funny.
I'm pretty sure Cleo never wrote for TWoP. She did those hilarious OMGWTF POLAR BEAR recaps on LiveJournal.
Do we know for a fact that it's yet to be deployed, or could it have been something like Arya killing the Night King?
I was wondering the same thing, Jon.
A one Knight stand.
Ha! I needed that laugh, Hec. Thanks for sharing.
In addition to the other valid complaints about poor story decisions, I have one!
Tyrion appealed to Cersei's maternal instincts to save her unborn child; shouldn't have Crazyface Scenerygnawer Greyjoy gone "BUH? How did you know she's pregnant!!!" ? Because she only just told Crazyface that she's pregnant, right?
or could it have been something like Arya killing the Night King?
Nope, because there is no Night King in the books. That was a D&D invention and they decided to have Arya have the killshot three years ago.

The point there is that Tyrion was informing Knockoff Jack Sparrow that he wasn't really the babydaddy. Sowing discord and whatnot.

I am corrected!
Aside from the fact that Dany and her fleet did not spot an enemy armada on a clear day when they had air surveillance, can I just note how ridiculous it is that Euron hit a dragon's undulating neck three times from 300 feet away when they clearly could have never practiced on a moving target before? So noted.
I'm ready to stipulate that anything involving Show!Euron is bad and wrong.
Mostly I thought this episode was fine. I don't judge Brienne for crying that what she thought was a chance for happiness turned out to be a lie. I'm not surprised Jaime is still a conflicted murderous rapist when it comes to Cersei, no matter how woobied. I'm glad Arya and hound are together so she can do the mercy kill after Cleganebowl injures him fatally; I think that will end her arc and I'm okay with that. Sansa was extra spiteful this episode which I DID find annoying, they can't figure out what to do with her. Tyrion told Varys because Tyrion secretly agrees with him, I think; it was maybe a mistake but Tyrion's confidence has always outstripped his actual success, just like Jon. He really, REALLY doesn't want Innocents to die, and I think he will find a way to stop it. The dragon dying is a good thing - stakes need to be up and dragons being vulnerable matters for that, and he was injured and surprised, so I'm okay with him being hittable.
Wasn't the cleanest or best ep by any means but it was better than Dorne and I'm intrigued by some of the setup.

Maybe he ran the artillerists through drills with big kites on very windy days?

And then failed to even graze Drogon who was much, much closer and had many, many more giant arrows aimed at him.

Oh, I understand the point of Tyrion doing it, I just don't believe that Crazyface has enough self-control to not have flipped his shit right there instead of having enough guile to wait until he could talk to Ceresi privately.
