Does Sands really want the It on Throne, though? I see her as Queen in the North with Arya as...her badass.
A little more seriously, I can imagine iron throne devolving into a federated... thing at the end? The EU of Westeros (hopefully with less Brexit?) I mean, the whole "you're all kings, but this one king is the real king" thing hasn't really been a big winner, and in spite of my wishes the plot momentum is leaning hard into the Targaryen Nonsense formerly known as Snow, and I don't think he particularly wants the job either...
I'm totally rooting for No More Kings. I'm not sure about the details, possibly just so few nobility left after all this battling that the smallfolk are forced to spontaneously develop another form or government.
Westeros Kibbutz
I'm down with the Iron Throne being melted.
I don't want Arya to settle down with Gendry or hang out at Winterfell! Fuck no!
I want her to go on adventures with Brienne in Essos. Fafrhd and the Grey Mouser style.
Sam adding "stealing a considerable number of books" to his list of derring-do is just the sweetest thing ever.
Well, Gendry is obviously going to die now.
Grey Worm made the meta error of talking about going to live on a beach before a battle: dead.
Dolorous Edd remembering their dead friends - "We're the only ones left." He's dead.
Jorah gets his honor redeemed: dead.
Theon gets his honor redeemed: dead.
I welled up at Brienne being knighted.
Also when Sansa hugged Theon.
Also the Crypt is obviously not a safe place to be whilst facing the Night King so I'm expecting a full-on zombie show down there.
Ser Jorah also got lent A Very Significant Sword, so I'm betting he goes out doing something Very Heroic with it.
With Arya and Gendry getting it on, the only thing I could hear in my head was "Tonight, on a very special episode of Game of Thrones..."
Jorah gets his honor redeemed
I think I missed a step or two of his redemption arc, because I have no idea why Lady Mormont would even be on speaking terms with him.
