Yeah. I like how she went back to it after the next question, too, because she wasn't sure she'd gotten what she wanted to say right yet.

Is anyone watching Sharp Objects? I'm on episode 2. I pictured the sister much younger when reading the book.
I haven't read the book, but I heard they aged up the sister. She's around 15 in the series, I think, but a couple of years younger in the book, I hear. Given some of the stuff we're seeing, I kinda don't blame them.
The series is wonderfully shot and brilliantly acted, but goodness, is it ever rough on the psyche. The latest episode (ep 3) was the best yet, and it left me gutted.
I don't like the aging up at all, and the actress is even older than 15, I think. I'm quite attached to the book.
I didn't love the first episode. I may go back, though. (I do love the book.)
In other news, meep! [link] Cocksucker!
I haven't read the book, and I find the show very difficult to watch. I can tell it's *good* but I really don't get any enjoyment out of it, the way I did with Big Little Lies or Gone Girl.
I can't blame them for aging Amma up. This is some seriously rough content. I can't imagine a way to adequately shield a young performer.
I watched ep 3 a couple of hours ago and was very glad to have a cat seeking cuddles during the closing credits.
ooh, Mahershala Ali is on the next season of True Detective!
I started Sharp Objects today. Just 1 ep in. I am finding the volume so low it is hard to follow at times. And holy sheesh with the fan imagery and things spinning, I am dizzy from the open credits.
I don't know the books, but I am wanting creepy and this seems to be giving it to me.
The opening credits is the Missouri bootheel version of the Twin Peaks opening credits except they keep switching up the music.
