I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Man, everybody losing their families. Octavian really came into focus for me in this one, and Livia is more interesting than I thought she would be.

It makes me really angry that Gaia's going to get away with killing Eirene. Pullo sending her back to her gods was so touching and sweet. And good lord but the confrontation between Vorenus and Vorena was incredible.

Next week - Marc Anthony in eyeliner!

Congratulations, Sean! How wonderful to get compliments from someone you admire.

Punishingly Intricate

I wouldn't be so sure. Really nothing goes unpunished in the world of Rome.

Marc Anthony in eyeliner!

I'm not sure at all, but just the evident possibility that she could burns me up.

And then I feel a little bad because you don't get to be a madam and a slave by having an easy life, so maybe I should have more sympathy for her, but dammit Eirene and Pullo deserved a little happiness.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

The cycles these characters go through are so intense. I love them--one minute, you don't think they can get any lower, and the next they're ruling the city. And never once does it feel contrived.

Yes. This. It's really a great insight historically. If a man lost power, his whole family suffered for it. It makes me very emotionally vested in the outcomes of the plots (especially the fictional ones where I am clueless of the outcome).

Ever fired your gun in the air and yelled, 'Aaaaaaah?'

And I got shivers when Antony walked into the palace in Cairo, and he and Cleopatra just said each other's names with all that will come behind it. I am *so* glad there are five more episodes.

I thought there were only two more episodes left.

I like SA's answer better! I can't tell from the HBO site at all.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I thought there were only two more episodes left.

I think you're right, unfortunately. I want MORE!

[Yep, just confirmed with DH -- only 2 left this season, and so far they're standing by their decision not to renew because it's too expensive.]

Bleck! I thought we'd at least get a full thirteen. Frell.

I know it's expensive, but that's why it's so *good.* It's worth every penny. (I say, not paying for the subscription.)
