Our wings are not tired.

Would totally watch a spinoff show following the duo of Davos and Bronn

This is the only season I have watched. One big difference in the reading vs watching experience for me has been characters like Davos and Bronn who didn't jump out on the page so much for me, but they are treasures on the screen.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My show has Lyanna and Davos and Bronn and Tormund and it used to have Sam but now it just has Gilly and I basically don't give any remote fractions of a shit any more about Lannisters or Targaeryens and I'm pretty much running out of fucks for Starks as well.

Basically, give me secondary characters and the rest of y'all can shut up with the kings and queens and such.

Because books.

Bronn will always be one of my favorites. Davos is my ultimate hero, though. If anything happens to him, there will be hell to pay. ::shakes tiny fist::

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Way to try to sneak in the whole "R+L were super secretly married so Jon is totes the legitimate heir to the kingdom!" bit.

I literally flailed like an anime character at that, when Sam cut her off and went on his rant.

Secondary characters are totally winning the show.

I was hoping somewhere Jorah would mention Sam as the one who cured him, but I suppose if they survive there's time for that.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I found book!Jorah super creepy in his devotion to Dany with a stench of Nice Guy entitlement, but the bastards cast Iain Glen in the role so I can't help but love him in the show for all his faults. Wahhh.

I've had the hots for Glen for over 20 years now. I think the first thing I saw him in was an adaptation of Elliot's Adam Bede, which was (goes off the IMDb to check) in 1992. Fuck, I'm old.

Re. the Jonah-meets-Jon scene, Glen Weldon from NPR cracked me up with this description: [link]

Dany returns to Dragonstone on Drogon's back, alighting near a spot where Jon stands brooding on a cliff, cape flapping dramatically behind him like he's Bat-Hamlet. Jon and Drogon share a nice moment, presumably because Targaryen game recognize Targaryen game, and Dany asks about Davos' "knife through the heart" comment. Jon plays it off, but the nice family outing is interrupted by the return of Jorah Mormont looking older, wiser and decidedly less like a frilled lizard.

Dany and Jorah hug, and Jorah shoots Jon a look that's nuanced, wary, appraising, resigned.

Jon shoots a look back at him that says, "It windy."

Bwah!

Iain Glen has only looked hotter as he's gotten older, for me. I caught part of Tomb Raider the other night, and he was not craggy and weathered enough at all.

Poor Kit Harrington. I think he's gotten better quite a bit (I thought he did a lovely job in his scene with Drogon in particular) but he's still out-acted by almost everybody in the ensemble.
