Brienne's so not into him, though. Like, at this point, it's a little stalkery.
I do not like previouslies. I wish they'd let me watch without them. It makes it so I figure out what's going on way sooner than they want me to.
So, we have Bran back in the mix to be the information vector for Jon's parentage. We didn't get the kind of shot that would telegraph the "Bran crosses the Wall and Bad Things happen." hypothesis.
Arya Stark, blowing through her List like a badass. And then joining Sandor on the "rediscovering humanity" train. As threads start converging, I'm looking forward to some of these characters meeting.
Jaime...this is when you leave. This is when you find yourself a rowboat or a donkey or excuse or whatever and clear the fuck out of dodge.
Jon being surprisingly egalitarian...and I really hope we're not going to get another verse and chorus of "if only the men had listened to the ladies" with Sansa.
I'm torn between "it will happen" and "near miss" on Jon and Dany teaming up, making use of the information from Sam and Bran.
It seems weird to me that there aren't Jr Maester dorms. Do we know how Jorah got there?
HIS FACE! Whenever he looks at her!
HER face, whenever she looks back tho.
Brienne is so confused by her reaction to Tormund. She's supposed to hate!love Jamie! But Tormund is clearly making her feel something.
I am looking forward to the Jon Snow trip to Dragoncastlewhatever. Will he raven ahead and be welcomed as a potential ally or will he be seen as a threat?
I haven't watched the previous seasons, but I did read the books. I understand there are differences, but whatever. Joining the watching starting this season! Between comments here and general internet the blanks are filled in adequately. I may watch the previous ones some day, but my queue is long.
Arya's badassery stands out in a world with an abundance of badasses. Poor Jaime should really run far away and pretend amnesia. Brienne is just so much fun, and her interactions with Tormund a delight. Sansa's dismissal of Littlefinger amusing. Much more Dany and Tyrion much more often, please.
Mostly a lot of looking forward to what happens with Bran, Jon, Sam, Daenerys (nice castle you got there), Tyrion, oh seriously, just anxious to go along for whatever ride awaits us. Also, the visuals are very satisfying, although the too dark scenes continue to annoy. Light a torch already.
Also, I like Ed Sheeran well enough, but seeing him in the last Arya scene kind of jarred me. It was distracting.
Did not like that at all. My biggest issue with the Ep.
I didn't know who he was so I was a little weirded out by how much focus he was pulling, like it was foreshadowing for him to like try to kidnap Arya or is actually a Faceless Man.

which one was he? clearly I have no idea who he is.
Now I feel bad about Ed Sheeran. I find him adorkable and apparently it was a surprise treat from the powers that be for Maisie Williams because she is a big fan. But fans being meanyhead bullies have abused him over the cameo appearance. Driving him to delete his Twitter account (not for the first time)
Anyway, backstory here in one of the few articles that doesn't immediately blast audio at you. [link]
