Maybe losing the trial by combat makes him officially dead for the purposes of his wife being able to remarry? I could see Westeros (show!Westeros, I mean) having rules like that. Or weddings that happen in King's Landing stay in King's Landing, the North can ignore them if it wants.

In any case, an explicit explanation would be nice.

Yeah, that's a lot of mentioning of greyscale, surely something will come of that.

Petyr said something about how they're not married because it was never consummated, but that still seems weird without an official annulment. By that logic, they stopped being married a while ago.

I'm pretty sure it's annulment by handwavium. Some combination of virginity + Tyrion's supposed to be dead by now + we're planning to overthrow the king anyway, right, so, like, what's a little bigamy between allies?

I'm kind of surprised Sansa didn't bring it up, though. (Maybe she did offscreen, but still.)

With this ep, I now understand how people who haven't read the books have been feeling for the past 4 seasons of this show! (Characters! Characters in new places!)

Sansa and Tyrion had a "white marriage" i.e., unconsummated. That was commonly dismissed as Not Counting.

With this ep, I now understand how people who haven't read the books have been feeling for the past 4 seasons of this show!

It's disorienting, but kind of exciting.

I definitely think Brienne and Pod will come to rescue Sansa.

Now that Brienne knows where/who Sansa is I'm a little anxious she'll get killed.

Stannis is also heading for Winterfell, right?
