So, Penny Dreadful!

Except for the fact that Timothy Dalton and Eva Green are in it, I could do without the Dracula storyline entirely. I am loving this version of Frankenstein, even if the end of last week's ep violently pissed me off.

I'm curious about Ethan wossname since the wolves.

I read the recap on io9, and she mentioned that at the start of the second episode, he wakes up outside, even though he has plenty of money to pay for the room. Possible werewolf is what she's suggesting, and while nothing struck me last episode, his behavior with the wolves in this one certainly did.

With the vampire storyline, I'm hoping they do something interesting and cool with it, and not just different. I'm a little leery about the Egyptian thing, but I guess we'll see. If a mummy suddenly comes to life at the British Museum it may be too much.

Ohhhhh, good point. I hadn't put that together, but it fits.

I was so confused by the wolf thing, and then I read her recap of the second episode, in which she actually says "possibly a werewolf," and it all fell into place. Although, who knows.

I think she also mentioned there were wounds on his hands when he woke up by the river, too, but I'd have to reread to know exactly what she said.

Oatmeal. Silicon Valley kept me up to/through the peyote in Joshua Tree ep, then I left for JT and there are other better things to watch, like Mad Men and The Americans and The Good Wife and Orphan Black. I'm interested in Halt and Catch Fire, which might turn out to be The early computer years show, maybe. Lee Pace, so, worth checking out.

IMHO, True Blood was a fun ridic romp until Bill turned into whatever, Lilith, and don't bother watching to see how that turns out. Dexter was a worthy show until the end of the one with Julia Stiles as Lumen. They missed a good ending right there.

It would also explain why he was so vehemently against letting Frankenstein experiment on the vampire they'd captured.
