I always wonder if whoever made up the, "There are seven doors in a forest," meme, where one of the doors leads to Narnia, and one to Middle Earth, etc, but included Westeros on that list had ever read the books.

From the first time I saw it, all I could think was, "no one ever chooses the Westeros door."

Although Oberyn taking the torch was a little odd.

On rewatch, I think that gesture was not taking the torch away, but using it to make his pledge.

...they do things differently in Dorne.

At least he didn't slice his palm.

He did bring the torch with him, I wasn't especially expecting him to leave it.

Dur. Of course he brought the torch in. What was I thinking? Tyrion gets a warm and cozy dungeon? That's me not paying attention...even on rewatch. I guess that says something about how engaging the scene was. I glossed over the details.

Some great scenes, especially Oberyn with Tyrion, but really, all of them.

Particularly good conversations this episode, I thought.

I like the contrast between last week and this - last week was almost entirely Audiences With Monarchs In Large Halls, and this week was almost all intimate little 2 or 3 person scenes.

The scene between Robin and Sansa was so well done, and a perfect reminder of how young Sansa really is, in spite of everything. I wonder if we'll ever see that with Arya.
