I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ooh, HBO Go just showed up on my AppleTV. Spiffy.

I am loving Family Tree. Christopher Guest really has my number.

I can't believe I am getting all these serial posts days apart. That's just weird.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

What channel is Family Tree on?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

HBO, and it's really wonderful, especially if you're a fan of Guest's other work.

Yay, a premium cable station I get! Time to set up a series recording on the DVR.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

HAHAHAHA!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Family Tree is great except I would cause brain trauma to the sister. I am not good with indulging breaks from reality like that--they make me a nasty bitch. It's on the record.

Veep has gotten me pretty hard. I am really really liking that, and I would have Tony Hale's babies--this could be Buster, but he's not, but I like them both a lot for their similarities. And JLD has turned me around from the start of the season a lot--I feel pretty manipulated, but I'm okay with it--when she stepped up and took the heat for the spy debacle, the character shifted and gained credibility in the still-ludicrous universe.

And, oh god, hating Jonah is so much fun.

She's hard to take. I appreciate that the other characters don't really know how to deal with her, and she did lose her job, etc. It's not just a quirk with no consequences.

Yeah, but I'm canonically shitty in instances like those. I've been having screaming fights with people because my weakness seems to be other people's breaks with reality. I know--bigger person, there but for the grace of brain chemistry go I, but...I'm really fucking bad at it, and "anthropomorphising the inanimate" is something I'm on the books for throwing fits about since I was ten, and thirty years have lent me no grace or empathy.

eta: I also yell "It's not a turtle friend!" at the TV. Because it isn't. It's a turtle that might not brain enough to be confused by why you keep grabbing it, but NOT YOUR FRIEND. It's a tramp turtle, and it'll swim with anything with flippers, you mark my...

Yeah. I wonder if I can talk about that with my new therapist instead of my headache...
