So, I've watched this episode a couple of times now, and that ending has wrecked me every single time. I mean the whole thing is so amazing, with every scene just clicking together one after another, leading all the way up to Littlefinger's end speech, the reveal on Ros, Sansa sobbing over her new engagement, and Shae none too happy about it either, on to the end of Jon and Ygritte's climb, and those amazing views, and the kiss, and that score.

Wrecked.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think Damian Lewis is pretty good, but he slips from time to time. Hard to get the vowels right every time.

Art Crawl!!!

From the Guardian's GoT recap:

I don't trust those Freys and their steampunky aviator headgear one little bit, although I do like the fact that everyone's handing Harrenhal around as a consolation prize: "Here, take the cursed castle that was once burnt to the ground by dragons; you know you want it really."

Harrenhal - it's the White Elephant of Westeros!

I loved that they made Lame Lothar lame.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Beau and I have been rewatching S2 and I am thankful for that. So many things got cleared up for us in the simultaneous rewatch of S2 and S3.

We did this last year, watched S1 and S2 at the same time. During S1, we rewatched S1 at the point we got to the 5th episode.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm catching up on DaVinci's Demons. Silly fun - even though I'd imagined Leonardo as less Carravagesque & more Sherlockian. And shouldn't he be sketching more?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anyone watching Hemlock Grove? I can't see that making it past 5 eps on a station, if it even got that far--Eli Roth knows how to direct, right? So is he asking people to suck? Is that accent so hard for Famke Jansse that she has to be awful?

Interesting transformation scene (and also the Godfrey daughter), but I don't get how these things are aligned with our world--entirely AU? Things happening where we can't see them?

Not sure.

Unlike House of Cards its easy to pay half a mind to, and therefore suited to me today.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

We still have like 2-3 eps left and it is agony finishing this series.
