"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Y'all mentioned that spoiler in discussion of SEASON ONE of this series. I thought it was coming 2 years ago. That was literally the only thing I remembered.

Help, I've fallen into A Wiki Of Ice And Fire and I can't get out!

Easy to get lost there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Help, I've fallen into A Wiki Of Ice And Fire and I can't get out!

Sadly, there is no known cure.

Art Crawl!!!

There should be a warning sign. . . or possibly a 12-step group.

BTW, loved the little 7 Gods lullaby that Sam sung to Gilly's baby.

Because books.

Sam and Gilly were so sweet. Then there was Jon and Ygritte, so fierce.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gawker has a post on the accents in GoT and their severe not-making of the sense: [link]

My takeaway?

Peter Dinklage: I mean, I don't know. A disaster, basically, but somehow it works.

That article was pretty cool, and very interesting. I laughed loudly at the banner gif.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

A disaster, basically, but somehow it works.

Heh. Yeah, other than North = Talk Like Sean Bean, kinda and Beyond The Wall = Scotland, kinda? most of the accents are either the actor's native UK accent or "whatever Britsh-ish accent this American actor can more or less pull off."

I mean, Tyrion and Cersei don't even have the same accent for lord's sake.

What's worse is I kind of hear that as Peter Dinklage's normal accent now, even though I know it's not. He's from Jersey, I think.

Edit: I suppose I should specify NEW Jersey, since we're talking about regional Brit accents.

Nice. Someone in comments suggests that the Dornish should have a Castilian lisp. Love it.
