No! Do not take my Gendry! Poor boos, both him and Arya. I like the antipathy Arya has toward Melissandre.
Book question: What, if anything, is the relationship between the Lord of Light and the many-faced-god whose temple Arya goes to?
eta: And -t answers my thought before I finish composing it!
You know how, when you've (book spoilers) driven across Kansas, and then you're into Colorado, and it's a while and then you start to see the mountains, and it takes a while to get there, but they're always there, waiting? Red Wedding.
I don't think it's spoily to say that the writers are doubling down on making changes from the book. Also, I'm still a book behind, so Theon's plotline is all new to me. Further, I get a Teatime (Tay-ah-Tim-eh) vibe off the other guy.
Finally, I continue to love the Jaime/Brienne show. I wish there had been more. But I was engaged enough in the ep to not really notice the lack of Dany, so I can't complain too much.
Oh, Theon. It should be clear to you where you are now.
The Wall defends itself!
Varys: "The Lyssa Arryn of chairs."
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
Wow. Just.... Wow.
Oh, ROS. That broke my heart.
Last weeks episode, as I said, contained a sizable collection of my favorite scenes in the book, but this episode is quite easily my favorite yet. It was all rather breathtaking.
Oh, very interesting! As someone somewhere else pointed out remember the hornblower in the last episode of last season, from the siege on Winterfell?
