They were pretty great. Although they made me feel like a punk-assed scribe. I am sort of a fandom court jester...isn't that the way? Comics want to write tragedy and vice versa.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, they had a Deadwood shout-out and they used "Walk On Gilded Splinters" in the Wire finale. (Not the best or even the second best version of that song, but it's still a great song.)

Kind of heartbreaking with little shafts of hope. Plus it looks like they're setting a lot up for the last season.

Hey, I just read...

Gang- and Drug-Related Homicide: Baltimore's Successful Enforcement Strategy by Detective Edward Burns, retired

Which means I'm suckered in for sure, now, huh?

My favorite 16 year old is desperate for the Wired first season for the holiday. Any tips on where to find it at a reasonable price? Amazon and, even ebay seem a bit much.

Stepmonster got it at Costco, After all the monologuing about never hearing of it and yada yada like the true fuckin' cheesefaced bitch that she is. I'm sure it was cheap. She'd never spend many ducats on me. Sixteen? Sounds like me at sixteen. Don't let that scare you or nothin', a'ight? Yeah...the'bot is a Wirefiend now.(Who gets the disposable cel...Dennis Wise corrected us all on the use of 'burner' once so I've never used it again, cause, you know...Dennis Wise. The man knows. He says he always used "burner" to mean a gun used in a crime than tossed.)

Hey check it out! HBO has other shows too I want to see.

Entourage, Extras (with Sir Ian McKellan, and Daniel Radcliffe), Rome, last season of Sopranos, Big Love.

Entourage can be really funny, Rome didn't turn me on last year, but who knows? I liked last year's Sopranos...Mom didn't.(And it's not the same without Christopher/Ade anyways, though.) Big Love= better than network, not as good as The Daves. I think the acting is the best part of that one. But I can miss it without tripping, which is not true of the Ouevre Dave.(But they have all made me their punk.) have never seen Extras. And I'm sure you want my opinion, like Beej wants to know that the DVDs cost the same as four and a half vials. And I'm all emotional and shit cause Cable Hamsterdam here has had its five hundredth post. They said this shit wouldn't last! ;)

Ha. erika, you slay me. I'm actually fascinated to know that I could actually offer my favorite 16 year old four and a half vials rather than the dvds. Which gift keeps on giving long, do ya think?

Thanks for the tip David! I'm off to deep discount.

Hey, erika, give Rome another shot. I really enjoyed it...and there is plenty of bloodnguts, intrigue, cringeworthy bad choices and comedy gold. Polly Walker screeching, "Everyone appreciates the gift of large penis!" is worth the ticket price.

500 posts? dayum.

Addiction is quite a heinous gift with purchase, Beej. I think I'd reccommend the entertainment that's like crack rather than actual red-tops.
