And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just typed a whole long thing and then realized I can't because spoilers.

Next week's ep has Tyrell-y goodness in it, though.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

you could have white fonted it.

I suspect not posting, rather than white-fonting spoilers, was probably the better choice, even though le nubian and I would surely love to read what you wrote.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's always the spoiler thread.

One of my few niggling little nit-picks with the show is that Ghost makes too much noise.

(Yes, I am rewatching the episode again for the third time since Sunday, why do you ask?)

Also? The sacked and burning Winterfell in the title sequence makes me sad.

SO SAD. Poor Winterfell.

I am still holding out hope for Starks Triumphant by the end of the series with Winterfell rebuilt. But since I know how little GRRM values karma, I also expect all of the Starks to die, probably even some obscure Stark cousins we won't meet until book 7.

Oh, and on the Tyrells, I'd rather just hold off until the weekend and then we can all talk about how awesome Diana Riggs is together.

Although Martin also has a habit of having his characters make declarative statements (or think declarative thoughts) just so they can later be proven to be SO VERY WRONG LIKE WRONG WRONG THINGS.

And every time I reread the books now, I am struck by a passage in the first book, in the chapter where Jon Snow gives Arya Needle, just before he leaves for the Wall and she leaves for King's Landing. Jon is ascending the stairs to Arya's room, and thinks to himself I will never climb these stairs again.

It rather jumps out and punches you in the face once you've seen it.
