Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Chris has been in the previews since before the season started, hasn't he? And he was definitely in this one.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is anyone planning on watching Newsroom tonight?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was going to watch Newsroom, but I forgot to order HBO. I'll have to hope they rerun it this week.

It's HBO; I'm sure they'll repeat it many times. I don't know if you get HBO On Demand on your cable service, but if you do it will be there as well.

Oh, sj, I didn't even think of On Demand! Duh, of course. Thanks!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I watched the pilot last week, it was very Sorkin-y. Lots of fast-talking people walking in circles, and there's a flinty voiced brilliant powerful woman begging the asshole (but smarter than you and really good at his job!) male lead for favors within the first ten minutes.

Honestly, I'm sick enough of his schtick by now that I really wish his writing weren't so damn compelling. Because there was so much about it that made me roll my eyes, and I still want to see the next ep! (Which I won't be able to because we've canceled our HBO service, so there's that.)

I also wish I didn't work in archival news and know the material he's covering well enough to find the whole premise of the show BEYOND ridiculous. I imagine this is how doctors feel when they watch House.

Yeah, so very Sorkin-y. I'm such a sucker for his schtick, even at the same time my eyes were rolling across the floor.
