I was intrigued until I hit the third sentence.
Dude, seriously. While I will admit to enjoying
Grumpy Old Men,
I think that had more to do with Lemmon and Matthau than the writing, and I still want those hours of my life back that I spent watching
Daredevil.
I haven't seen anything that indicates he has any of the skills a writer would need to adapt Preacher.
Yes...would watch Lemmon and Matthau read the phone directory, but they were comic geniuses, right?
...I still want those hours of my life back that I spent watching Daredevil.
Wait, that was only hours?
Wait, that was only hours?
I know, it was like being caught in an event horizon.
...I still want those hours of my life back that I spent watching Daredevil.
And Elektra, please. Though was that written by him? I can't recall?
I swear, in that movie I'd look at my watch out of boredom every half hour or so and realize that only 15 seconds had passed since the last time I checked it.
Hmm, serial is particularly appropriate given this post...
Did anyone else crack up at Dexter's expression after he beaned Paul with the frying pan? That look Michael C. Hall gave was the funniest thing in the whole series to date.
I lost it, Matt. It was hilarious.
No thoughts on the penultimate Wire of S4?
I'm still sniffling, bunk.
Heartbreaking shit.
Poor Namond and Randy.
And Bubbles.
Poor Baltimore.
My own unspoiled spec is that the closest to a moral is that good things will happen for Duquan *because* Presbo stuck his neck out and took a personal interest. That when institutions fail, we still have our humanity.
That stuck in my mind all night and I'm not afraid to admit that I cried over it. And not that misty, ER, Jeff Buckley "Hallelujah" kind either. It wasn't pretty, but in a way I was glad. I can't remember the last time that happened from TV where I was actually disrupted by it. I wouldn't want to just be able to consider that all in the day, but I'm torn between "Damn. Crowning achievement." and "Pelecanos, you bastard!"
