Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

God, this week's Homeland was good.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I agree, but it was really uncomfortable to watch, wasn't it?

So Homeland. WHOA. My neck hurts from the tension of watching it! They wrapped it up just right for next year. That was a freaking amazing run.

Oh Carrie. Oh Saul. Oh Brody. Oh Tom. Virgil, you doll.

Carrie is bipolar but she also has really good intuition plus the access to information and the intelligence to piece things together. Getting lied to about things she is intuiting adds so much stress to her and sympathy and sadness and anger from me on her behalf.

They never answered the question about the razor blade. If M1 and M2 are Brody and Tom, then what was the rooftop on the house all about? How could cell reception reach underground, location 1 and location 2?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

They never answered the question about the razor blade.

Or who tipped off Walker that the meet with the Saudi dude was a setup.

I'm confused about the rooftop plan as well. I attribute the cell phone in the bunker to TV Magic.

I'm having fun working through the comments to Sepinwall's article about the finale, here: [link]

In unrelated news, chocolate and peppermint sure are a great combo.

Heh. Here's one comment for The Wire fans: Maybe Abu Nazir secretly works for the Baltimore Police Department.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason I have an episode of "Angry Boys" on my tablet, that I have no idea why I downloaded it. I noticed it's on HBO now, and I have to say I'm impressed at the total and utter lack of boundaries this guy has. I mean, he'll play anyone, it seems. And say most anything.

I can't work out why it's so compelling. It's not funny, it's not high drama, but it's got such a convincing documentary style I find myself unable to turn away. Especially because I want to see what boundary he won't hesitate to cross next.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I may have to give that a try. I watched Summer Heights High and it was very...I don't even know, I might need to go all Heathers and leave it at that. It was very. The man commits to his characters.
