It's like, in the middle of all this, I'm paranoid that you'll think I don't like poetry.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I'm watching and enjoying it for now. I don't see how they can keep this up over multiple seasons though. At some point, Brody's got to reveal himself at which point he's just another bad guy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Did no one see the misspelling of "Spartacus" in the slug on the thread page? ("Sparticus", for reference)

Okay, yeah, I read it a million times too. Not sure why it just jumped out at me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have never ever noticed. Which means...I don't read the slugs? Probably true.

Brody's got to reveal himself at which point he's just another bad guy.
What if he isn't, though?

Alan Sepinwall is following it [link] and, for The Wire fans, compares Carrie to Jimmy McNulty. [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whoa, Homeland, good twist!

Homeland is doing great. I think it's going to give Breaking Bad a run for its money at the Emmys this year.

Tho' I am praying it doesn't go off the rails as it gets closer to the end a la Rubicon or that rainy one in Seattle.

Always Anti-fascist!

  • if* anyone can do it, I bet it's him, but there's a lot of if, here.
Please cast Ian McShane, someplace, just because.

Homeland: still my favorite show this season, along with Revenge, what a guilty pleasure that show is.

So, Carrie - really? what went down at the cabin and in her apt. has blinded her to her formerly rampant and keenly-honed professional paranoia about Brody? Things are obviously happening, in tonight's episode particularly, that would sidetrack that focus but I will be very disappointed if she doesn't get that back before the end of the season. Two more episodes.

I swear that I saw Jane Espenson credited as the writer, but that isn't on IMDB. Hm. Where else to check? Nothing easy to find on Sho.com. Another time, investigating.

eta: J. Espenson is a consulting producer on Once Upon A Time, that's where I saw her name.
