Reviews for the new Showtime show Homeland are coming in. Sounds good, and the cast is interesting: Claire Danes, Damian Lewis, Mandy Patinkin, and Morena Baccarin. (One of these things is not like the others... although to be fair Baccarin might have been excellent in V; I never watched it.)

I watched the first episode and it IS quite good, but it is uber-bleak. Not sure my Damien love will sustain my desire to watch.
I am impressed with Claire Danes' performance. I never expect much from her.
The direction must be really good too because Mandy Patinkin is almost unidentifiable...no Patinkin-esque at all.

I didn't find it as bleak as you did, bf. But I totally know what you mean. I will tell you this, I think the route they went with Danes' character bugged me, but aside from that, the acting is fucking top notch.
Everyone just brings it.

just watched Homeland. i really liked it! it's hard to tell who to believe. did anyone else notice the Christian Kane poster on the wall during the scene where Morena's character walks into the daughter's room while she and the friend are hitting the bong?
